Lately I've noticed that I use the phrase "a whole nother" a lot. It's derived from "a whole other", but is actually based on the word "another". It's not just another, it's a whole nother.
The word "another" comes from the phrase "an other". Over time, it morphed into just one word. These days, it sounds remarkably wierd to say "an other".
This has been another report from Stevo, who has no idea what he's talking about.
